The Verdict

(2011) – 78 minutes

Logline

After a strict selection procedure, the graduate law student from Leiden, Ouafae Bahi, is admitted to the judges’ training course, a six-year further study. During her first practical period in the criminal section of the court at Zwolle, she is already requited to write verdicts and to defend her opinion in discussions in chambers. That is where decisions are taken. At the course in Zutphen she is told how to do this: “Whether you like it or not, you have to decide.” Will Ouafae stand her ground? And how will she herself be judged after the first six months?
